Job summary

AMEWAS, Inc. is seeking a Software Developer (WSCE)-Journeyman to support Battlespace Modeling & Simulation. The role involves developing software for an advanced synthetic training environment and integrating it with flight simulators for pilot training, on-site at Patuxent River, MD.

You will work in a DevOps setting, review C/C++ code, and contribute to real-time simulations, while collaborating with teammates on future enhancements and customer demonstrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering; other relevant engineering fields may qualify.
• 3 years of relevant work experience in software development.
• 3 years of experience with C/C++, CMake and scripting languages (Bash, Python 3).
• 3 years of experience with scripting and databases.
• Familiarity with scaled agile software development tools (Git, Jira).
• Ability to obtain/maintain DoD security clearance eligibility as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for an advanced synthetic training environment.
• Integrate software into flight simulators to support pilot training.
• Support software development, integration, training and demonstrations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of algorithms, design patterns, and OO software design.
• Work within a DevOps environment (builds, tests, deployment across OS).
• Evaluate and review C and C++ code.
• Program using C/C++.
• Develop software requiring parallel processing and inter-process communication.
• Simulate complex environments or platforms in real-time.
• Collaborate with team on future enhancements.
