University of Pikeville is seeking an Entry Level Family & New Student Connections Content Specialist 2 to support Family Connections, First-Year Experience, and Second-Year Experience programs on the UPIKE campus. You will create content, manage social media, analyze engagement, and produce multimedia to inform students and families.

The role emphasizes collaboration with departments, student organizations, and partners, with a flexible schedule to accommodate class commitments and university

Qualifications

• Education requirements: Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher; enrolled full-time as a student.
• Preferred skills include strong understanding of social media, excellent written and verbal communication, basic graphic design, photo/video editing, familiarity with analytics tools, collaborative and independent work, creative storytelling, openness to feedback.
• Work schedule is flexible to accommodate class schedule; must comply with university student employment hour limits.

Responsabilités

• Create and curate engaging content for social platforms including Facebook, X, Instagram, CampusGroups, CampusESP.
• Monitor and manage department social accounts; review comments, DMs, likes, stories, and newsletters with the Director.
• Maintain a content calendar aligned to the academic calendar and audience needs.
• Use analytics to track engagement and reach; recommend improvements based on insights.
• Capture and edit photos and video for multimedia posts.
• Collaborate with departments, student orgs, and partners to promote events and initiatives.
• Maintain accurate contact lists and mailing databases.

The Family and New Student Connections Content Specialist supports the online presence and engagement for Family Connections, First‑Year Experience, and Second‑Year Experience programs. This role assists with content creation, social media management, analytics, and multimedia to inform and engage students, families, alumni, and the broader community.

Responsibilities And Career Competencies

• Create and curate engaging content for social platforms (Facebook, X, Instagram, CampusGroups, CampusESP) – CSD, CT, CTR, T
• Monitor and manage department social accounts; review comments, DMs, likes, stories, and newsletters with the Director – C, P, TW
• Maintain a content calendar aligned to the academic calendar and audience needs – CT, L, P, T
• Use analytics to track engagement and reach; recommend improvements based on insights – CSD, P, T
• Capture and edit photos and video for multimedia posts – CTR, P, T
• Collaborate with departments, student orgs, and partners to promote events and initiatives – CSD, C, CTR, P, TW
