Job summary

Plainwell Community Schools seeks a high school athletics coach to instruct athletes in fundamental skills, strategy and physical training, while promoting character development, self-discipline and pride of accomplishment in student athletes. The coach will update knowledge through clinics and observations.

The role includes leading a staff of coaches, enforcing policies, and mentoring students in grades and conduct, with a focus on safety and community representation.

Qualifications

• Has ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
• Has previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport.

Responsibilities

• Instruct athletes in fundamental skills, strategy and physical training for individual and team success.
• Promote character development, self-discipline, and pride of accomplishment in student athletes.
• Lead and coordinate staff of coaches with the athletic director and school principals.
