Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools’ Tuscarora High School seeks a wrestling head coach for the winter season (November–February). The role emphasizes directing training, coordinating with the athletic director, and upholding academic standards for student athletes.

Responsibilities include supervising assistant coaches, organizing schedules, ensuring safety and medical clearances, recruiting equipment managers, and fostering sportsmanship and pride in team, school, and community.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience at high school or college levels is required.
• Completion of CPR and First Aid training or current enrollment.
• Preference for applicants who are LCPS employees or Virginia licensed teachers.

Responsibilities

• Direct, supervise, and evaluate all assistant coaches for the wrestling program.
• Coordinate training, conditioning, and performance of the varsity team.
• Collaborate with the athletic director and principal on hiring/retention of staff.
• Ensure medical examinations and safety for all athletes before practice seasons.
• Develop schedules, equipment needs, and inventory for the program.
• Promote sportsmanship, pride in school, and community involvement.
