Job summary

Stone Bridge High School in Ashburn, Virginia is seeking a Wrestling JV Head Coach to lead the junior varsity program for the winter season (November through February). This part-time position requires dedication to academics, athletics, and the development of student-athletes within Loudoun County Public Schools.

The coach will work closely with the athletic director and principal, supervise and evaluate assistant coaches, and ensure proper schedules, equipment, and safety for all athletes.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience at high school or college level.
• CPR and First Aid training completed or enrolled.
• Prefer experience as a teacher or classified employee in Loudoun County Public Schools.
• Prefer Virginia Teaching License candidate or full-time classified employee.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining high academic standards for student athletes.
• Assist athletic director and principal in hiring/retention of assistant coaches.
• Direct, supervise, and evaluate the performance of assistant coaches.
• Coordinate insurance coverage with the athletic director.
• Collaborate with other head athletic coaches to balance the athletic program.
• Foster sportsmanship and pride in self, team, school, and community.
• Direct training, conditioning, and performance of the varsity team; supervise assistants.
• Be present at varsity contests and supervise JV/Frosh contests when possible.
