Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools is seeking a Wrestling Head Coach for Tuscarora High School. The season runs during Winter (November–February). The role includes directing training and performance, supervising coaches, and ensuring safety and eligibility of athletes.

The position emphasizes academic standards, collaboration with the athletic director and principal, and serving as a positive influence for students, staff, and community.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience at high school or college levels.
• CPR and First Aid training or enrollment.
• Prefer experience as a teacher or classified employee for Loudoun County Public Schools.
• Prefer a Virginia Teaching License candidate or a full-time classified employee for LCPS.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high academic standards for student athletes.
• Assist athletic director and principal in hiring/retention of assistant coaches.
• Direct, supervise, and evaluate assistant coaches.
• Ensure proper insurance coverage for all athletes.
• Foster sportsmanship, pride in team, school, and community.
• Direct training, conditioning, and performance of varsity team; supervise assistants.
• Be present at varsity and as many JV/freshman contests as possible and supervise athletes at events.
