Job summary

Amphenol Corporation seeks a Process Engineering Technician - Wrapping in Hamden, CT to support wrapping production through hands-on process assistance, data collection, and continuous improvement. You will work with Process Engineering and experienced operators to learn equipment, materials, and setup methods.

The role involves assisting with process trials, tooling changes, troubleshooting, and creating setup sheets and training materials.

Qualifications

Associate degree in an engineering or manufacturing technology field or equivalent.
Hands-on mechanical aptitude and interest in manufacturing equipment, tooling, or troubleshooting.
Ability to read and follow work instructions, manuals, drawings, and process specs.
Basic computer skills including Excel and Word.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Support daily setup, operation, and troubleshooting of wrapping machines and related equipment.
Learn equipment, materials, product constructions, setup methods, and common process issues.
Assist with process adjustments, setup consistency, quality concerns, scrap reduction, and basic troubleshooting.
Collect machine settings, speed, downtime, and quality results; document findings.
Create and update setup sheets, work instructions, and training materials.
Travel domestically and internationally as required (10%).
