Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking a production-focused team member responsible for ensuring final hose inspection meets customer specifications and Parker standards.

You will verify hose specifications, operate equipment, monitor the process, and ensure accurate paperwork while maintaining safety and efficiency on the production floor.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Production work preferred but not required.
  • Clear understanding of safety, quality, and process controls.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Responsible for ensuring all final inspected hose meets customer requirements, conforms to specifications established by Parker and industry standards.

Responsible for ensuring all final inspected hose meets customer requirements, conforms to specifications established by Parker and industry standards.

Essential Functions
  • Verify proper specifications for hose.
  • Properly set the traverse on the reel up for the size of hose being worked.
  • Check center pitch when hose is moved out of the wrap machine.
  • Load machine with nylon and properly monitor through the process.
  • Identify and eliminate any known defects – tape flips, bad stripe, folded nylon, etc.
  • Prepare and complete necessary paperwork.
Department Specific/ Non-essential Functions
  • Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures in a manner that eliminates risk to health and the environment. Notify leadership of unsafe conditions or practices unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk. Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to leadership immediately.
  • Prevent excess waste of product and/or components by operating the equipment in an efficient manner.
  • Maintain production schedules.
  • Participate in peer-based teams (i.e., Natural High Performance Teams), and work with groups to initiate and implement programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5-S.
  • Other duties may be assigned later.
Minimum Requirements

Education required:

High School diploma or GED

Experience

Production work preferred but not required

  • Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Basic knowledge and use of hand tools
  • Sound decision making skills
  • Good math, reading, writing skills
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude

  • Standing is required for extended periods of time. Carrying, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling are done on a frequent basis. Climbing, stooping, and grasping are performed on an occasional basis.
  • Requires high degree of manual dexterity, which could be performed under restrictive conditions.
  • Requires flexible hours and short notice for overtime.
