Job summary

Smurfit WestRock in Johnstown, OH is hiring a Wrapper Operator for the production department. Starting wage $18.00 per hour, with benefits starting on Day 1, including medical/dental/vision and 401k. Overtime as needed to meet customer demands.

You will operate and adjust packaging machinery, ensure quality, and maintain logs. We seek self-motivated individuals with good communication and a background in industrial manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Must be self-starting and able to work independently.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and complete tasks accurately and on time.
• Good communication skills with management and staff.
• Industrial manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate various manufacturing equipment and follow directions.
• Lift, push or pull >50 lbs, stand/walk/bend/kneel throughout shift.
• Lead run changes, plate and ink set ups, and machine operation for multiple print runs.
• Visually inspect printing plates, inks, and raw materials; remove defects.
• Inspect finished product and adjust machine to maintain quality.
• Maintain daily production log and assist with pallet tagging.
