Job summary

Mount Hermon Association, Inc. is seeking a Wrangler Lead at Kidder Creek Ranch Camp in Etna, CA for the summer staff program.

You will model a Christian lifestyle, lead the wrangler team, and work with the Ranch Camp Manager to oversee horsemanship activities and safety. Responsibilities include horse care, equipment maintenance, keeping logs, guiding campers in horsemanship, ensuring camp areas stay clean, and supporting schedule execution.

Qualifications

• Must be CPR/First Aid certified prior to arriving at camp.
• Current valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
• At least 2 years college experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and well-being of all campers and staff by enforcing rules and guidelines.
• Care and maintenance of all horses and equipment, keeping logs as necessary.
• Assist campers in the care of horses and equipment.
• Keep all horse areas and working areas clean.
• Promptly report any hazards or dangerous situations to the RC Manager.
• Lead and assist campers in horsemanship areas as directed.
• Attend staff meetings and events and support schedule execution.
