Job summary

Mount Hermon Association is seeking a Summer Staff Wrangler at Kidder Creek Ranch Camp in Etna, CA. You will assist in horsemanship activities, care for horses and equipment, and help campers have a safe, engaging experience aligned with MHA’s mission.

The role requires a high school diploma, CPR/First Aid certification, and a valid driver’s license with a clean record, plus willingness to participate in camp activities and community life.

Qualifications

• High school graduate.
• 1 year college experience preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification required before camp.
• Current valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and well‑being of campers and staff in horsemanship activities.
• Care for horses and equipment; keep logs as needed.
• Assist campers with horse care and equipment.
• Report hazards to Wrangler Lead promptly.
• Lead and assist campers in horsemanship areas as directed.
• Assist in other program areas as needed.
• Attend Ranch Camp campfires and staff meetings.
• Contribute enthusiastically to the program and community.
• Be on time, prepared, and ready to assist with needs.
