Job summary

Graduate Post Acute, supported by Marquis Health Consulting Services, is seeking a Wound Treatment Nurse (RN) for weekend, part-time hours (7am-3pm). Starting pay is $37–$46 per hour, all-inclusive.

The facility provides a patient-centered, collaborative environment with a focus on wound healing and quality of life. Responsibilities include assessing skin integrity, Braden Scale use, creating wound plans, documenting progress, and educating staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current, active RN license in Pennsylvania.
• Wound care certification preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Wound care or long-term care experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, communication, and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess skin integrity for all admissions/readmissions using standardized tools.
• Complete Braden Scale assessments to identify risk for skin breakdown.
• Develop, implement, and administer individualized wound treatment plans with physicians and team.
• Evaluate responses and update care plans accordingly.
• Document wound assessments, treatments, progress, and responses per policies.
• Collaborate with Director of Nursing, physicians, and team for high-quality care.
• Educate staff on wound prevention and treatment protocols.
• Monitor healing progress and modify treatment per physician direction.

Guided by our core values of Passion, Respect, and Excellence, the Wound Treatment Nurse (RN) provides specialized clinical care to residents with wounds and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to uphold the highest standards of treatment and prevention.

Responsibilities for Wound Treatment Nurse (RN):

• Assess skin integrity for all new admissions and readmissions using standardized assessment tools.
• Complete Braden Scale assessments as appropriate to identify residents at risk for skin breakdown.
• Develop, implement, and administer individualized wound treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
• Evaluate resident responses to treatment and update care plans to reflect changes in condition, goals, and outcomes.
• Accurately document wound assessments, treatments, progress, and resident responses in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate closely with the Director of Nursing, physicians, Unit Managers, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure consistent, high-quality wound care.
• Partner with the Director of Staff Development/Infection Prevention to educate nursing staff on wound prevention, treatment protocols, and best clinical practices.
• Monitor wound healing progress and recommend treatment modifications based on clinical assessment and physician direction.

Qualifications for Wound Treatment Nurse (RN):

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Wound Care Certification preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Previous wound care or long-term care experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, communication, and critical thinking skills.
