Job summary

York Post Acute is seeking a Wound Care Nurse to join our 80-bed sub-acute and long-term care facility in Virginia. This full-time role offers daytime shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM with an all-inclusive hourly pay range based on experience.

The nurse provides wound care per physician orders and care plans, assesses and treats wounds, documents outcomes, and collaborates with the care team to promote healing and quality of life while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active LPN or RN license in Virginia.
• Wound Care Certification strongly preferred but not required.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• Minimum of 2 years of prior experience as a Wound Care Nurse in a nursing home or long-term care setting.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident care in accordance with acceptable nursing standards, physician orders, and established care plans.
• Demonstrate sound clinical judgment in assessing, treating, and monitoring wounds.
• Provide wound care treatments based on resident needs and best clinical practices.
• Deliver respectful, compassionate, and person-centered care to residents, families, and caregivers.
• Provide clinical guidance and direction to members of the nursing and care team.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of wound assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
• Ensure resident confidentiality is maintained at all times in accordance with HIPAA and facility policies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support healing, prevention strategies, and continuity of care.

Hourly Range: $30.00 – $42.00/hr (Based on Experience & Incentives) ALL INCLUSIVE
No Frills Program for Full-Time Employees: If you opt for no benefits (no vacation, sick time, personal days, or holidays), you’ll earn an additional $3/hour on top of your base pay.
