Job summary

York Post Acute is seeking a Wound Care Nurse in Virginia. The role offers a full-time schedule with a 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM shift, and an hourly range of $30.00–$42.00 based on experience. Eligible for daily pay and comprehensive benefits under the No Frills program.

The nurse will provide wound care, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, document outcomes, and ensure HIPAA-compliant care. LPN or RN license in VA and BLS CPR are required; wound care certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active LPN or RN license in the state Virginia.
• Wound Care Certification strongly preferred but not required.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• Minimum of 2 years of prior experience as a Wound Care Nurse in a nursing home or long-term care setting required.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident care in accordance with nursing standards, physician orders, and care plans.
• Demonstrate sound clinical judgment in assessing, treating, and monitoring wounds.
• Provide wound care treatments based on resident needs and best practices.
• Deliver compassionate, person-centered care to residents, families, and caregivers.
• Provide clinical guidance to nursing and care team and maintain accurate documentation.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support healing, prevention strategies, and continuity of care.
