Job summary

Ascension Health in Oshkosh, WI, Mercy Hospital is seeking a clinical wound specialist RN on a PRN schedule to lead wound care plans, coordinate hyperbaric treatments, and collaborate with surgeons and care teams.

You will educate patients and families on home wound care, document progress, and contribute to high-quality care across settings, with required BLS and Wisconsin RN licensure.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire; AHA or ARC accepted.
• RN credentialed by Wisconsin Board of Nursing or multi-state/Compact license.
• Wound Care certification from NAWCCB preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead specialized clinical wound care plans for patients with complex wounds and coordinate advanced therapies.
• Perform wound care interventions including hyperbaric treatment coordination, wound VAC management, and advanced dressings.
• Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams across the care trajectory from assessment to discharge.
• Educate patients and families on home wound care routines, preventive techniques, and long-term wound management.
• Document progress and treatment outcomes accurately to ensure compliant health records and support care quality.
