Job summary

Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center is seeking a Staff RN for the Wound Center to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. The role includes administering hyperbaric oxygen therapy under a hyperbaric physician, collaborating with panel physicians, and ensuring compliance with nursing standards.

The RN should have an active state license, at least 2 years of floor nursing experience, and strong interpersonal/communication skills.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as an RN.
• Minimum 2 years of floor nursing experience.
• Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to assess data and apply age-specific nursing care.
• Knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan.

Responsibilities

• Readily recognize and assess initial clinical changes and relay information to the wound center team.
• Record and communicate clinical data with physicians and health care staff.
• Photograph, assess, and measure wounds; perform HBO treatments and monitor patients.
• Ensure adherence to clinical pathways and inform physicians of missing components.
• Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement plans of care and teaching.
• Set outcomes based on patient problems and center protocols.
• Assist with wound care and HBO protocol implementation as directed.
• Revise plans of care with the team and reassess progress toward outcomes.
• Participate in patient reviews to activate recommendations in orders.
• Coordinate visits, pre-procedure workups, and patient education on HBO risks/benefits.
• Prepare for each clinic update to physicians; review charges and precertifications.
• Triage wound center calls and assist with scheduling.
