Job summary

Independence Health System in Butler, PA, seeks an experienced RN for the Wound Center's Hyperbaric program. Under supervision of physicians, you will plan and provide nursing care, perform assessments, and communicate patient information to the physician.

You will monitor treatment, record vital signs, manage dressings, and coordinate with the care team. Eligibility includes PA RN license, ACLS, and Act 33/73 clearances.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Registered Nurse Program.
• Three years experience in an acute care setting.
• Strong leadership ability, organizational skills, independence and critical thinking.
• Strong ability to communicate complex topics to a wide audience.
• Bachelor Degree in Nursing or healthcare experience preferred.
• Current PA RN license; ACLS; Act 33/73 clearances; Act 34 PA background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within hyperbaric/wound center with an interdisciplinary team.
• Assess patients, plan care, document thoroughly and communicate with physicians.
• Monitor treatments, record vital signs, dressings, and wound care per orders.
• Order, stock supplies and assist front office; travel between system locations as needed.
