Job summary

Haywood Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for wound care. The role is full-time, day shift, Monday–Friday, with responsibilities spanning wound care for patients of all ages and related nursing duties.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license or compact state licensure required.
• Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) must be current within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS certification required within six months of hire.
• One year of RN experience preferred.
• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and identify care needs.
• Initiate appropriate nursing interventions based on condition and age.
• Provide care aligned with patient condition and age; ensure accurate documentation of medical necessity.
• Develop and update the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Complete and revise quality improvement assessments.
