Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a Full-Time Certified Wound Care RN to join the Baltimore Central Booking and Intake center. The RN will assess wounds and related conditions, collaborate with staff to promote healing, and stay current with wound care recommendations and products.

Required: Maryland RN license, WOC/Nurse certification, CPR/BLS certification, and ability to obtain security clearance. Prior corrections experience is a plus and the role is day shift in Baltimore, MD 21202.

Qualifications

• Active RN license to practice in Maryland.
• Completion of an accredited WOC Nursing Education Program or Wound Care Certification (WCC).
• Minimum of two years (in the past five years) work experience as a RN preferred in a community outpatient clinic, hospital or long-term care facility.
• Knowledge of wound care recommendations and products.
• Experience working in corrections preferred.
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in CPR/BLS.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assesses deep wounds, skin tears, ostomies, severe burns, pressure injuries and bedsores and diabetic foot wounds.
• Works closely with staff to promote healing and stay up to date on current wound care recommendations and products.
