Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Detroit, MI is seeking a Wound Care Nurse - Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time role. You will provide expert wound and skin care, preserve skin integrity, and coordinate weekly multidisciplinary rounds for high-risk patients and pressure ulcers.

Valid RN license and BLS are required; ADN is required with 1 year of related experience. You will work within a supportive team, with an orientation program, tuition assistance programs, and opportunities for clinical

Qualifications

ADN required.
One year of related RN experience.
Current State RN License.
BLS certification by start date.
Wound care training within the first 90 days.

Responsibilities

Preserving the integrity of the skin by implementing and monitoring skin preservation strategies.
Ensuring all wound and skin care protocols are approved by the medical staff.
Organizing multidisciplinary wound and skin rounds on a weekly basis for high risk patients and patients with current pressure ulcers and other significant wounds.
Providing hands-on wound care for all difficult and non-healing wounds.
Serving as a resource to all hospital staff on all issues related to wound and skin care.
