Job summary

Mission Regional Medical Center in Mission, TX, part of Prime Healthcare, seeks a Wound Care Registered Nurse for direct patient care in the inpatient wound care department. Per diem and dayshift, great opportunity to advance clinical expertise and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

You will assess wounds, perform dressing changes, implement prevention strategies, and coordinate with physicians and bedside staff while contributing to monthly wound care committee activities.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license issued by the state.
• BLS certification at hire and maintained.
• Acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Wound care knowledge or experience preferred (1 year).
• WOC or WCC board certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the inpatient wound care department.
• Assess wounds and perform dressing changes per physician orders.
• Implement wound prevention strategies and coordinate with staff.
• Lead monthly wound care committee meetings and share evidence-based practices.
