Job summary

Edgemere in Dallas, TX seeks an experienced Wound Care Nurse (RN) to supervise and provide primary skin care under medical direction. The role emphasizes wound treatment, therapy, and patient-focused care in a skilled nursing setting.

You will assess wounds, implement care plans, educate residents and families, and collaborate with physicians and therapists to optimize outcomes. This is a per diem/prn, hourly position with benefits and a starting $29+ per hour.

Qualifications

• RN graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Current valid Texas RN license.
• Minimum of two years clinical nursing experience with at least one year wound care.
• Proficiency in wound debridement, dressing changes, and related procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough wound assessments and document characteristics.
• Develop and implement individualized wound care plans.
• Administer wound care treatments and dressing changes.
• Educate residents and families on wound care and prevention.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and dietitians for coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation.
