Job summary

Healogics in New York's Town of Corning is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Wound Care Center. Under the WCC Clinical Nurse Manager, you provide patient care, manage intake and discharge, and may serve as Case Manager.

HBO duties may be included after training; you collaborate with physicians and other providers to coordinate care. This role requires ADN or RN license with BSN preferred, Wound Care certification preferred, and strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.

Qualifications

• ADN required or equivalent.
• RN license in state of practice.
• BSN preferred and wound care cert preferred.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory/accrediting requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Customer service mindset and follow-up.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care to Wound Care Center patients and manage intake and discharge per hospital/nursing standards.
• Assist in vein clinic as trained.
• May serve as Case Manager for a group of patients.
• Perform initial nursing assessment, document care plans, and communicate findings to physician.
• Evaluate patient status and intervene as needed to meet outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and educate patients/caregivers; advocate for patients.
