Job summary

Baylor The Heart Hospital Dallas is seeking a Wound Care Registered Nurse to join the team. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for external candidates with 2+ years of RN experience; relocation assistance is offered for eligible candidates relocating 50+ miles. Training may occur in Plano.

The RN will assess patients, develop care plans, and coordinate wound care, including wound vac changes, while educating bedside RNs and supporting vascular care in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of an Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Active RN licensure in Texas or eligible to obtain.
• BLS certification or obtain within 30 days of starting.
• Minimum 3 years as RN and at least 1 year in wound care RN.
• CWCN certification required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments maintaining the highest standard of practice.
• Design, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans.
• Participate in initiatives to improve quality and performance.
• Build therapeutic relationships with patient and family.
