Job summary

HCA Healthcare Colleton Hospital is seeking a compassionate Wound Care Registered Nurse to care for ill and recovering adults in a patient-centered model. You will perform autonomous clinical assessments and manage treatment with collaboration from the care team.

You will provide burn and wound care, educate patients and families, document thoroughly, and act as a resource for new staff while prioritizing patient safety and efficient care delivery.

Qualifications

• RN license required within 30 days of employment start date.
• WCC or CWS certification must be obtained within 6 months of start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS/CPR) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide burn and wound care for patients.
• Demonstrate ability to manage critical situations and make care-based decisions.
• Advocate for patient safety.
• Communicate pertinent clinical information to physicians, nurses and staff.
• Ensure effective care and use of time, supplies, and equipment.
• Serve as a resource for new employees.
• Educate patients regarding medications, procedures and treatments and provide family support.
• Accurately complete documentation in patient records.
