Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Wound Program Coordinator to oversee wound care services, work with interdisciplinary teams, and educate patients and families. This role emphasizes adherence to regulatory standards and ongoing professional development within a leading inpatient rehabilitation provider.

Ideal candidates will have a wound care background, RN/PT/OT licensure, and CPR certification, with at least one year of wound care experience and a commitment to continuous education.

Qualifications

• RN/PT/OT license required for acute rehab hospitals; RN required for long-term acute care hospitals.
• CPR certification is mandatory.
• Minimum one year of wound care experience is required.
• Continuous education in wound care through seminars/professional organizations is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and develop wound care services in adherence to regulatory standards and physician orders.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to provide guidance on wound care treatments.
• Lead educational efforts for hospital staff on wound care topics, as well as educating patient and family members on wounds and wound care.
• Maintain continuous education and stay updated on the latest wound care techniques and advancements.
