Job summary

Qualifications

• 1 year customer service experience within the last five years.
• 1 year negotiation or collection experience within the last three years.
• Experience working effectively in time sensitive situations, handle multiple priorities simultaneously, and able to make prompt, responsible decisions.
• Experience in keyboarding and computer skills.
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal relations and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients with complete demographic, financial, and clinical information.
• Interacts with patients/representatives to gather and verify information.
• Inputs data into the system for billing, reporting, and regulatory purposes.
• Explains legal documents in regulatory terms.
• Discusses insurance benefits, costs, and financial assistance needs with patients.
• Communicates wait times and assists with way-finding.
• Verifies patient identity and scans documents as appropriate.
