Job summary

Healogics is seeking an Inpatient Wound Care and Ostomy Nurse in Papillion, NE. You will evaluate patients, develop care plans with physicians, and provide nursing support to the outpatient Wound Center as needed.

The role requires an ADN/BSN path with an active RN license in the state, BLS, and 1+ year of wound care experience; certification is preferred or obtainable within 12 months. You will work under the Inpatient Nurse Manager with cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• ADN/equivalent required; BSN preferred with RN license.
• Wound care and acute care experience preferred.
• WOC certification preferred or obtainable within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical evaluation and patient care for wound/ostomy patients.
• Collaborate with attending provider to develop initial care plan.
• Support outpatient wound center when needed.
• Adhere to hospital and CMS policies and documentation standards.
• Participate in discharge planning and care coordination.
• Perform wound/ostomy assessments and document findings.
• Provide patient education and advocate for quality care.
• Contribute to staff education and orientation on skin care.
• Assist with product selection and stoma site marking as needed.
• Utilize MS Office and hospital databases for charting.
