Job summary

AMG Specialty Hospital – Northwest Indiana is seeking a Wound Care Nurse (RN) for a full-time role at our Crown Point location. The nurse will evaluate wounds, monitor treatment, and coordinate with physicians and the care team to respond to changes in patient condition.

Candidates should have an Indiana RN license, completed nursing education, BLS and ACLS certifications, and 6–12 months of wound care experience. Wound care certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active Indiana RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications; wound care certification preferred.
• Six months to one year of wound care experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and professional English communication.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates new and existing inpatients’ wounds.
• Monitors and treats wounds per policies and procedures.
• Communicates with physicians and care team about changes in condition.
• Responds quickly to changes in patient’s condition or response to treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluates new and existing inpatient’s wounds.
• Monitors and treats the wound as per treatment policies and procedures.
• Communicate with physicians/CCO/co-workers, as appropriate aboutchanges in patient’s clinical condition.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient’s condition orresponse to treatment.

Job Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensure: Active, unencumbered Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Certifications: Current BLS and ACLS certifications. Wound Care Certification preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of six months to one year’s work experience preferred.
• Skills: Strong clinical assessment capabilities and prior wound careexperience; engaged, self-motivated clinician; professional fluency inverbal and written English.
