Job summary

AMG Specialty Hospital – Northwest Indiana is seeking a Wound Care Nurse (RN) for a full-time daytime shift at our Crown Point, IN location. The role focuses on wound assessment, treatment, and escalation in a boutique LTAC setting.

Qualifications include an Indiana RN license, BLS/ACLS, and 6 months to 1 year of wound care experience. A wound care certification is preferred, with strong English communication and clinical assessment skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

We provide exceptional, high-acuity care to a small, focused subset of patients requiring extended ICU stays, ventilator support, vasopressors, or advanced wound management. As a privately held specialty hospital, our Wound Care Nurses are highly valued, share in our success and enjoy a close-knit, specialized clinical environment over a massive, impersonal health system.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluates new and existing inpatient’s wounds.
• Monitors and treats the wound as per treatment policies and procedures.
• Communicate with physicians/CCO/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient’s condition or response to treatment.
• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensure: Active, unencumbered Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Certifications: Current BLS and ACLS certifications. Wound Care Certification preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of six months to one year’s work experience preferred.
• Skills: Strong clinical assessment capabilities and prior wound care experience; engaged, self-motivated clinician; professional fluency in verbal and written English.
