Job summary

AMG Specialty Hospital in Crown Point, IN is seeking a Wound Care Nurse (RN) for a full-time position. This private LTAC facility delivers high-acuity care with a small, specialized team.

You will evaluate wounds, monitor treatment, communicate with physicians, and respond to changes in patient condition. Requirements include nursing degree, Indiana RN license, BLS and ACLS, and 6 months to 1 year of wound care experience. Wound care certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensure: Indiana Registered Nurse (RN).
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS; Wound Care Certification preferred.
• Experience: 6 months to 1 year wound care experience preferred.
• Skills: Strong clinical assessment and wound care experience; English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates new and existing inpatients’ wounds.
• Monitors and treats wounds per policies and procedures.
• Communicates with physicians/CCO/co-workers about changes in patient condition.
• Responds quickly and accurately to changes in patient’s condition or response to treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluates new and existing inpatient’s wounds.
• Monitors and treats the wound as per treatment policies and procedures.
• Communicate with physicians/CCO/co-workers, as appropriate aboutchanges in patient’s clinical condition.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient’s condition orresponse to treatment.

Job Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensure: Active, unencumbered Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Certifications: Current BLS and ACLS certifications. Wound Care Certification preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of six months to one year’s work experience preferred.
• Skills: Strong clinical assessment capabilities and prior wound careexperience; engaged, self-motivated clinician; professional fluency inverbal and written English.
