Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Midtown Atlanta seeks a Wound Care Nurse Registered Nurse (RN) to join our inpatient post-ICU team on Juniper Street.

This full-time role features a Monday–Friday schedule, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with compensation from $46.58 to $62.00 per hour. You will lead wound care rounds, implement skin preservation strategies, and collaborate with medical staff to meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• RN license required (state)
• 1 year of related nursing experience required
• BLS certification by start date
• Wound care training within 90 days of role start
• BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Preserve skin integrity and monitor skin preservation strategies.
• Ensure wound and skin care protocols are approved by medical staff.
• Organize weekly multidisciplinary wound and skin rounds for high-risk patients and those with wounds.
• Provide hands-on wound care for difficult and non-healing wounds.
• Serve as a resource to hospital staff on wound and skin care.
• Ensure regulatory requirements are met

Responsibilities

• Preserving the integrity of the skin by implementing and monitoring skin preservation strategies.
• Ensuring all wound and skin care protocols are approved by the medical staff.
• Organizing multidisciplinary wound and skin rounds on a weekly basis for high risk patients and patients with current pressure ulcers and other significant wounds.
• Providing hands-on wound care for all difficult and non-healing wounds.
• Serving as a resource to all hospital staff on all issues related to wound and skin care.
• Ensuring all regulatory requirements are met

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications

• AD (Associate's degree in Nursing) required.
• One (1) year of related experience required.
• Valid State RN License.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Must complete wound care training in the first 90 days in the role.

Preferred qualifications:

• BSN preferred.
