Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Nashville West, part of Select Medical, is seeking a Wound Care Nurse Registered Nurse (RN) in Nashville, TN. This full-time role focuses on preserving skin integrity and managing complex wounds.

Responsibilities include leading wound care rounds, delivering hands-on care, and ensuring protocol compliance. Requires AD, RN license, BLS, and wound care training within 90 days. BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• AD (Associate’s degree in Nursing) required.
• One (1) year of related experience required.
• Valid State RN License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Must complete wound care training in the first 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Preserve skin integrity by implementing and monitoring wound care strategies.
• Ensure wound care protocols are approved by medical staff.
• Organize weekly multidisciplinary wound and skin rounds for high-risk patients.
• Provide hands-on wound care for difficult and non-healing wounds.
• Serve as a resource to hospital staff on wound and skin care.

Responsibilities

• Preserving the integrity of the skin by implementing and monitoring skin preservation strategies.
• Ensuring all wound and skin care protocols are approved by the medical staff.
• Organizing multidisciplinary wound and skin rounds on a weekly basis for high risk patients and patients with current pressure ulcers and other significant wounds.
• Providing hands-on wound care for all difficult and non-healing wounds.
• Serving as a resource to all hospital staff on all issues related to wound and skin care.
• Ensuring all regulatory requirements are met
