Korzen Health is seeking a part-time Wound Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) available 2-3 days/week to lead the Wound Care Clinic program in Cortland, NY, in collaboration with Healogics and Guthrie Cortland RMC.
With over 25 years of experience, Healogics operates more than 600 hospital-based wound care centers nationwide, treating over 300,000 patients annually and healing nearly 4 million wounds. We are the world’s leading expert in wound healing.
This position is based in our outpatient wound care clinic, exclusively dedicated to procedural wound care. Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no nights, on-call duties, or weekend work. All patients are seen by appointment; walk-ins are not accepted. The clinic is integrated with Guthrie Cortland RMC Hospital, and the candidate will be employed by Healogics.
The environment is procedure-oriented, primarily serving geriatric patients. Candidates must have at least 1 year of procedural experience, including suturing, debridement, and incision and drainage (I&D). Procedural case logs will be required for credentialing. Other non-dermatological procedural experiences may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Training in Wound Care and Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO) Therapy is provided. A full clinical team will support the candidate from the start.
Standard operating hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with no night shifts, on-call, or weekend hours. Please contact us for more details about the part-time schedule.
Teams typically handle 15 to 22 patient encounters daily, mostly wound care, with less than 5% receiving Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. There are opportunities for leadership growth.
Comprehensive HBO training (3 days), wound care, and mentorship are provided, with paid training.
