Job summary

The Arboretum of Winnie in El Paso, TX is seeking a Treatment Nurse (LVN or RN) to deliver high-quality wound care and treatment services within a collaborative care team.

You will perform dressing changes, wound assessments, monitor healing, document progress, and communicate care plans with physicians and families. Strong assessment and communication skills, TX licensure, and a passion for resident comfort are preferred as you support staffing and wound care protocols.

Qualifications

• Active LVN or RN license in good standing with Texas.
• Experience in wound care and treatment procedures preferred.
• Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-centered environment.
• Compassionate, resident-centered approach to nursing.

Responsibilities

• Perform dressing changes, wound assessments, and specialized skin treatments.
• Monitor and document healing progress of wounds, incisions, and skin concerns.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and families regarding care plans.
• Evaluate residents’ nutritional and hydration needs related to wound healing.
• Review lab results and respond to signs of infection.
• Educate staff on wound prevention and treatment protocols.
• Assist with floor staffing as needed to ensure continuity of care.
