The Wound Care Nurse provides direct and indirect patient care and is responsible for the implementation and management of care for draining wounds, fistulas, pressure ulcers, skin breakdown and incontinence. Duties also include the assimilation and reporting of performance data and productivity statistics for quality management. The Wound Care Nurse will coordinate communication with the interdisciplinary team on patient wound status and barriers to discharge.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN state license, maintain renewal in accordance with State Board of Nursing standards.
• Certification in wound care preferred.
• Certification in sharp debridement procedures preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English, and possess good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills with minimal guidance.
