Job summary

Luxor Healthcare seeks a Wound Care Nurse/ RN (WCC, WOCN) to join our team in Missouri. You will provide direct nursing care, perform wound treatments, and monitor care plans in a skilled nursing setting.

Responsibilities include coordinating with wound care providers, carrying out orders, and educating CNAs and nurses on wound care and prevention. Certification is preferred but not required; 1–3 months related experience may be acceptable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 months related nursing experience or training.
• Some wound care experience preferred.
• Certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care per policies and Missouri state guidelines.
• Complete wound treatments for residents in skilled nursing facility.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans; document and communicate status.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Coordinate with wound care providers and oversee nursing staff wound treatments.
• Provide resident-specific education to CNAs and nurses for wound care and prevention.

Responsibilities of Wound Care Nurse/ RN (WCC, WOCN)

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization and the state of Missouri.

• Complete wound treatments for residents in skilled nursing facility.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate resident condition.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Coordinate with wound care providers, oversee nursing staff wound treatments.
• Provide resident specific education to CNAs and nurses for wound care and prevention.

Wound Care Nurse/ RN (WCC, WOCN) duties include medication administration, documentation, overseeing residents’ care, and implementation of schedules for residents.
