Job summary

Luxor Healthcare is seeking a Weekend Wound Care Nurse LPN/RN (WCC, WOCN) to support multiple buildings in a flexible float-style role during weekends. You will provide direct nursing care, perform wound treatments, and monitor patient plans in a skilled nursing setting.

The ideal candidate has an active MO license, some wound care experience, and may hold WOCN certification. This role offers competitive pay, PTO from day one, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license in the state of Missouri.
• Some wound care experience preferred.
• Certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in line with facility policies and Missouri state rules.
• Complete wound treatments for residents in a skilled facility.
• Implement and monitor care plans and communicate patient status.
• Carry out physician and nursing orders and document actions.
• Coordinate with wound care providers and oversee staff treatments.
• Educate CNAs and nurses on wound care and prevention.

Responsibilities of Wound Care Nurse LPN / RN (WCC, WOCN):

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization and the state of Missouri

• Complete wound treatments for residents in a skilled nursing facility

• Implement and monitor patient care plans; monitor, record, and communicate resident condition

• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders

• Coordinate with wound care providers and oversee nursing staff wound treatments

• Provide resident-specific education to CNAs and nurses for wound care and prevention

• Duties include medication administration, documentation, overseeing residents’ care, and implementation of schedules for residents

• Minimum Experience: One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
