Job summary

Windsor Rehab and Healthcare Center in Windsor, NC is seeking a Wound Care Nurse to deliver expert wound care and supervise staff under established policies. This full-time role focuses on preventing wound progression and improving resident outcomes.

You will perform skin assessments, update care plans, coordinate with physicians, and ensure documentation accuracy while maintaining residents' dignity and compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Current State License as RN or LPN.
• CPR Certified.

Responsibilities

• Complete a Head to Toe skin audit on new admissions and re-admissions and identify open areas.
• Update skin sheets weekly and ensure care plans are updated each week.
• Provide wound care for vascular, surgical, and pressure ulcers (Stage 2+) Monday–Friday.
• Supervise CNAs and all subordinate staff, checking their work for completion.
• Administer medications within the scope of RN/LPN licensure and maintain narcotics records.

Education
