Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring seeks a Wound Care Nurse to join our day shift team. You will assess, plan, and deliver wound, skin, and ostomy care within a multidisciplinary setting, delivering education to patients and staff to promote healing and prevention.

The role requires an RN license, CWCN/WOCN certification, and at least one year of wound care experience; BSN is preferred. This position emphasizes compassionate care and alignment with Trinity Health values.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in good standing.
• CWCN, WCC or WOCN certification required.
• At least one year of experience as a Wound Care Nurse.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and assist with patient handling.
• Familiarity with wound, ostomy, and continence care best practices.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive wound, skin, and ostomy assessments across all age groups.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on clinical findings.
• Provide education to patients, families, and staff regarding wound prevention and management.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to coordinate care.
• Deliver high-quality, compassionate care in alignment with Holy Cross Health and Trinity Health values.
