Job summary

Woodbine Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Virginia is seeking a Lead Wound Care Nurse to lead wound care across resident care plans. You will assess, treat, and document wounds, mentor staff, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote healing and quality of life.

We offer a full-time schedule 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM, competitive hourly pay $33–$36 with incentives, shift differentials, daily pay options, and a benefits package for full-time employees.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active LPN or RN license in Virginia.
• Wound Care Certification strongly preferred but not required.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• Minimum of 2 years of prior Wound Care Nurse experience in nursing home/long-term care.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident care in accordance with nursing standards, physician orders, and care plans.
• Demonstrate sound clinical judgment in assessing, treating, and monitoring wounds.
• Provide wound care treatments based on resident needs and best practices.
• Deliver respectful, compassionate, person-centered care to residents, families, and caregivers.
• Provide clinical guidance and direction to nursing and care team.
• Maintain accurate documentation of wound assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
• Ensure resident confidentiality per HIPAA and facility policies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support healing and continuity of care.

Hiring: Wound Care Nurse & Lead Wound Care Nurse!

SHIFT: 6:00AM - 2:00PM

Hourly Range: $33.00 – $36.00/hr (Based on Experience & Incentives) ALL INCLUSIVE

No Frills Program for Full-Time Employees: If you opt for no benefits (no vacation, sick time, personal days, or holidays), you’ll earn an additional $3/hour on top of your base pay.

Shift differential:

$1 for Evening and Night shifts on Weekdays

$3 for Evening and Night shifts on Weekends.

Qualifications for Lead Wound Care Nurse:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active LPN or RN license in the state of Virginia
• Wound Care Certification strongly preferred but not required.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• Minimum of 2 years of prior experience as a Wound Care Nurse in a nursing home or long-term care setting required.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
