Paradigm Healthcare in Pasadena, TX is seeking an experienced Wound Treatment Nurse to join our skilled nursing facility. The role focuses on direct nursing care and managing wound care plans under physician orders.

You will collaborate with the care team, participate in surveys, educate residents and families, and respond to emergencies with CPR when needed. A TX RN/LVN license and an associate degree are required.

Formación

• Active RN or LVN license in the state.
• Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
• 2 years’ Long-Term Care experience preferred.
• Six months in rehabilitative/restorative nursing preferred.
• Strong Point Click Care knowledge preferred.
• Computer literacy: Outlook, Office, Internet.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct nursing care per nurse practice act and facility policies.
• Plan and direct the resident’s care plan according to physician orders.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services for continuity of care.
• Participate in surveys/inspections by government agencies.
• Maintain resident dignity, privacy and timely care.
• Develop daily assignments and rounds with nursing supervision.
• Report incidents and occupational exposures per policy.
• Provide resident/family education as directed.
• Provide CPR and emergency support as required.

Calling all candidates who want to be part of a fun and growing team!We are a skilled nursing facility seeking an experienced, compassionate and dedicated Wound Treatment Nurse to join the Paradigm Healthcare family!Job DutiesProvide direct nursing care in accordance with the nurse practice act, federal and state regulations, facility policies and procedures, and prudent nursing judgmentPlan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the delivery of a resident’s plan of care in accordance with current physician’s orders, rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the nursing care facilitiesHave knowledge of and utilize of the facility’s written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the nursing service departmentUtilize established methods for coordination and communication of nursing services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the residents’ total regimen of careParticipate in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies as necessary or as may be directedConduct themselves in a professional manner in compliance with facility policiesAgree not to disclose assigned user ID code and password for accessing resident/facility information and promptly report suspected or known violations of such disclosure to the AdministratorAgree not to disclose resident’s protected health information and promptly report suspected or known violations of such disclosure to the AdministratorReport any known or suspected unauthorized attempt to access facility’s information system.Participate in developing, evaluating, revising, and implementing a plan of care for each resident to achieve and maintain the highest practicable level of wellbeing possibleProvide education to residents/families/caregivers when the need arises, or as directed by Administration and/or physicianProvides prompt emergency support measures, including CPR, in accordance with physician orders, resident/family wishes, advance directives, and facility policies and procedures.Provide care in a professional/courteous manner by ensuring the resident is approached in a kind, gentle and friendly mannerProvide care in a manner that respect for the resident's dignity and privacy is consistently upheldEnsure that nursing interventions are performed in a timely manner.
