Job summary

Westgate Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Wound Care Nurse to join our team. The role emphasizes skilled wound assessment, treatment, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team to promote healing and resident comfort.

We offer full-time hours with a Monday–Friday 8 AM–4 PM schedule, a competitive $35–$45 hourly wage, and benefits such as tuition reimbursement and a 401(k) with match.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a current, unencumbered RN license in Maryland.
  • Wound Care Certification strongly preferred but not required.
  • Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of prior experience as a Wound Care Nurse in a nursing home or long-term care setting.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide resident care in accordance with acceptable nursing standards, physician orders, and established care plans.
  • Demonstrate sound clinical judgment in assessing, treating, and monitoring wounds.
  • Provide wound care treatments based on resident needs and best clinical practices.
  • Deliver respectful, compassionate, and person-centered care to residents, families, and caregivers.
  • Provide clinical guidance and direction to members of the nursing and care team.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of wound assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
  • Ensure resident confidentiality is maintained at all times in accordance with HIPAA and facility policies.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support healing, prevention strategies, and continuity of care.
