Job summary

CareMed Health Solutions is seeking a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to deliver wound care services to residents of long-term care facilities in Arkansas. The role includes prescribing, coordinating treatments, and collaborating with facility staff and primary care physicians.

Ideal candidates have chronic wound experience, wound care certification preferred, and proficiency with EMR systems. This full-time position offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

Current, unrestricted NP license in AR.
Board Certification.
DEA licensure (Optional).
Clinical background in adult, family, or geriatric specialties.
Clinical background of wound care and chronic wounds.
Comfort with diagnosing/treating diabetic, arterial, venous, and mixed wounds.
Ability to stage pressure injuries per NPIAP.
Familiar with advanced wound care products and DME.
Experience with wound vacs.
Wound care certification preferred.
Experience in long-term care.
Ability to work with EMR.
Ability to coordinate patient care in an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Provide wound care services for long-term care patients in skilled nursing facilities.
Prescribe medications, including controlled substances per AR law.
Order, review, and follow up with treatments and diagnostics.
Communicate with nursing home staff about changes in condition and care plan.
Collaborate with the primary care physician.
