Job summary

CareMed Health Solutions is seeking a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to provide wound care services for residents in long-term care facilities in Arkansas. You will diagnose and treat wounds, prescribe medications, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.

This full-time role requires AR NP license, board certification, and experience in wound care and elderly populations. Benefits include 401(k), health and dental insurance, paid time off, and education reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted NP license in AR.
• Board Certification required.
• DEA licensure (Optional).
• Clinical background in adult, family, or geriatric care.
• Wound care experience with chronic, infected, or stalled wounds.
• Ability to diagnose and treat vascular/diabetic wounds.
• Staging pressure injuries per NPIAP standards.
• Familiar with wound care products and wound VACs/DMEs.
• Willingness to obtain wound certification.
• Experience in a long-term care setting and EMR use.
• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide wound care services for long-term care patients in SNFs.
• Prescribe medications, including controlled substances per AR law.
• Order and follow up on treatments and diagnostics.
• Communicate with nursing home staff regarding patient changes.
• Coordinate with the care plan and primary care physician.
