Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current, active, and unencumbered California LVN license required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Two or more years of nursing experience preferred.
• Skilled nursing, long-term care, or wound-care experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of wound assessment, pressure-injury prevention, infection control, and treatment documentation.
• Experience with PointClickCare or another EMR system preferred.
• Must maintain all required continuing education and licensing requirements.
• Must remain in good standing with the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians.

Aufgaben

• Provide wound care and other treatments per physician orders and care plans.
• Administer medications and treatment-related medications within LVN scope.
• Assess and document wounds, injuries, skin conditions, and outcomes.
• Notify physician and leadership of deterioration or infection signs.
• Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and comfort during treatments.
• Incorporate wound-management interventions into care plans.
• Assist with developing and updating treatment plans.
• Complete accurate nursing documentation of care and responses.
• Communicate with residents, families, and the care team about plans and changes.
• Assist physicians and other providers during visits and exams.
• Report significant findings and concerns to RN Supervisor and Director of Nursing.
• Participate in care conferences and quality-improvement activities.
• Assist with orientation and training of nursing staff on wound prevention and treatment.
