Job summary

Garden City Health Care Center is seeking a compassionate Full-Time LVN Treatment Nurse to provide wound care and other prescribed treatments in accordance with physician orders and care plans. The role reports to the Director of Nursing and focuses on healing, dignity, and resident comfort.

Qualified candidates will hold a California LVN license, CPR certification, and have 2+ years of nursing experience, preferably in skilled nursing or wound care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active California LVN license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Two or more years of nursing experience preferred.
• Wound-care or skilled-nursing experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of wound assessment, infection control, and treatment documentation.
• Experience with EMR systems (e.g., PointClickCare) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide wound care and other treatments in accordance with physician orders and care plans.
• Administer medications and treatment-related medications within the LVN scope of practice.
• Assess, measure, document, and monitor wounds, pressure injuries, skin conditions, and treatment outcomes.
• Notify physician and nursing leadership of deterioration, delayed healing, signs of infection, or other significant findings.
• Maintain resident dignity, privacy, and comfort during treatments.
• Incorporate wound-management interventions into care plans (specialty mattresses, pressure devices, positioning, nutrition).
• Assist with developing, reviewing, and updating treatment-related care plans.
• Complete accurate nursing documentation reflecting care provided and resident response.
