Job summary

Garden City Health Care Center is seeking a compassionate Full-Time LVN Treatment Nurse to join our nursing team. The Treatment Nurse provides wound care and prescribed treatments in accordance with physician orders, resident care plans, and facility policies.

This role reports to the Director of Nursing and emphasizes healing, dignity, and comfort for residents within a skilled nursing environment. California LVN licensing and CPR are required, with 2+ years of nursing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current, active LVN license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Two or more years of nursing experience preferred.
• Wound-care experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with EMR systems (PointClickCare or similar).
• Maintain continuing education and licensing requirements.
• In good standing with the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians.

Responsibilities

• Provide wound care and treatments per physician orders and care plans.
• Administer medications within LVN scope.
• Assess, document, and monitor wounds, injuries, and treatment outcomes.
• Notify physician and leadership of deterioration or infection.
• Maintain resident privacy, dignity, and comfort during treatments.
• Incorporate wound-management interventions into care plans.
• Document care accurately and clearly.
• Communicate with residents, families, and the care team.
