Job summary

The Center for Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine, LLC in Dearborn, MI is seeking a Wound Care Technician to support the clinic team with patient care, vitals, wound measurements, EMR documentation, and coordination of supplies.

This full-time role involves assisting physicians and nurses, ensuring infection control, patient education, transport when needed, and adherence to HIPAA and safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Active EMT, CNA, or CMA certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• Valid driver's license with clean history (Chauffeur's license may be required).
• Experience using an EMR system for patient documentation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• All licenses/certifications maintained during employment.
• HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Take vitals, document in EMR, measure and photograph wounds, and process wound care orders.
• Assist physicians and RNs with wound care procedures.
• Maintain clean, stocked patient care areas and follow infection control protocols.
• Follow policies to ensure patient safety and report changes to supervisor.
• Provide patient education on wound care and hyperbaric therapy as appropriate.
• Transport patients to appointments if required.
