Job summary

Physicians Regional Medical Center is seeking a Director of Wound Care to lead the department's strategic and operational functions, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care. You will guide clinical and administrative activities, promote collaborative multidisciplinary efforts, and drive improvements in outcomes and efficiency.

The role emphasizes staff mentorship, program development, and adherence to regulatory standards within a dynamic healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent experience.
• Seven (7) plus years of direct experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in closely related field with Bachelor's degree required.
• 3-5 years of previous leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations of the wound care department, including staffing, resource allocation, and maintaining a safe, quality-focused environment.
• Develops and implements departmental goals, policies, and procedures aligned with the organization's strategic vision and best practices in wound care management.
• Leads quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety, clinical outcomes, and patient satisfaction, monitoring and evaluating performance metrics.
• Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate multidisciplinary care, improving communication and patient outcomes.
• Recruits, trains, and mentors wound care staff, promoting a culture of professional growth, education, and employee engagement.
• Responds to patient care issues, complaints, and incidents, implementing corrective actions and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
